Because all blood is red...
North St. Louis County deserves lasting change, and you can be part of making it happen. A Red Circle is committed to creating sustainable solutions that uplift our community – but we can't do it alone. Your donation today fuels real, long-term impact.
During the pandemic, we provided families with food, hygiene products, and essential resources like rental assistance and Medicaid enrollment. While this work was crucial, it was only temporary relief. We believe in solutions that empower our community beyond immediate needs. To achieve this, we need real investment – not just charity. Large funders often prioritize short-term aid, but true community development requires significant financial support. Your donation helps us build a future where families thrive, businesses grow, and North County flourishes.
In 2024, we hosted 20 Good Food Friday events, giving away 647 lbs of fresh produce, offering cooking demonstrations, and sharing recipes with 150+ individuals and 130+ families in North St. Louis County. Good Food Friday isn’t just about providing food; it’s about creating access and empowering a community in a food desert. North County, like many communities nationwide, has little to no access to fresh, affordable produce. This initiative celebrates balance, variety, and the joy of sharing healthy meals with others. From Swiss chard and okra to zucchini roll-ups and veggie tacos, Good Food Friday connects neighbors with fresh, nutritious options and valuable cooking skills. Together, we’re planting seeds for a healthier tomorrow.
Before joining us in the band, Raymond Douglas, aka RAYDLE, hadn’t heard of Kwanzaa. But during rehearsals for the 'Kwanzaa: The Village It Takes' event, he watched part of the Kwanzaa movie and was captivated by the 7 principles. Learning about unity, creativity, and purpose through this experience left a lasting impression on him. It’s incredible how Kwanzaa continues to inspire connection and understanding. Truly, it takes a village to celebrate and share this rich tradition!
